Concise Description
GCMprocpy is a tool used for TIE-GCM and WACCM-X post processing and plot generation.
Description
GCMprocpy is a post-processing and plot generation tool for TIE-GCM and WACCM-X NetCDF output. It provides three interfaces (a PySide6 desktop GUI, a Python API, and one console command per plot type) and produces latitude-longitude maps in several projections with optional coastline, nightshade and wind-vector overlays, vertical cross-sections, time series, and fields interpolated along a satellite track. Supporting functions convert units, interpolate between pressure level and geometric height, and compute derived quantities including the NO, CO2 and OH band emission rates ported from the legacy tgcmproc processor. Its gpigen and imfgen commands also build the geophysical-index and IMF/solar-wind NetCDF files that drive a model run.
